Let's be frank. You're absolutely done with the rainy and cold weather of this strange summer. At this point, you just want to hit something. Well, you're in luck. Russell Shumsky, a hand drummer who teaches West African and Afro-Cuban conga drumming, will be at Lot 19 today, July 15th, from 12 - 1 p.m. to host a drum circle as part of our Lot 19 Live Music series, open and free to the public.
Russell hosted one here last summer, and it was a huge hit. The drum circle, as cool as it is, is only one day of exciting events held in Lot 19 this summer. The DVBIA is hosting fun and free activities that are open to the public every weekday throughout the rest of July and August. Every Friday with the Lot 19 Live Music Series, you can expect some fantastic local musicians to serenade you as you eat lunch in the plaza.
Check out our calendar to see everything else that's happening. So get here early, bring your friends or family, and secure your seat and one of the limited drums available.
